They told me to take the liquid lortab orally and let it soak in under my tongue. You just hold it there for a minute. They said it goes to work faster that way.

I did put in the PEG tube about 11:00 and I was asleep by 11:30. Slept until 2:00. I think it worked going through the PEG.

Have you had your TSH levels checked recently? A few of us develop hypothyroidism due to radiation damage and feeling cold all the time is a symptom.
Angelia,
I know it's tough to swallow when things taste bad but hold your nose and swallow away as long as you can. I got to the point that I would have to pinch my nose, close my eyes and also hold my mouth shut as soon as I finished swallowing a can of VHC while standing over the bathroom sink trying to stop me from tossing my cookies cause if you think it hurts going down.....it's hurts far worse coming back up.

I brought it up with the Doc, he said we will test them in Jan. His reasoning is that the hypoth. occours several montha post TX. But! I am feeling exceptional good these days 14 weeks post. I have a large persenrage of my energy back and plan to ride this weekend. Still weak due to mucsle mass loss. From reading all the posts I know I am on schedule, I was way too optomistic at first.
Angela,
I was on liquid morphine for months and 99% of the time just shot down the PED. I tried once in my mouth and it tasted discusting, Even when I was eating soft foods I would use the PEG for Morphine.
Our Butts get whupped enough from the tx! I took the east path when I could. There are no awards for doing things the hard way!
PEGS away!

14 weeks is months and mine had crapped out by the time I was tested 4 months post Tx so that's just about the same time as you are now. Anyway getting tested in Jan (hopefully early Jan) is OK and then you will be in the same boat as the rest of us in trying to figure out what TSH level is normal for YOU.
