Three partial glossectomy (10/05,11/05,6/08), PEG, 37 XRT 66.6 Gy 1/06
Neck dissection, trach, PEG & forearm free flap (6/08)

Maggie,

I would ask for a copy of the path report and any other report/details of what has or will take place. I am learning all kinds of new terminology that you will want to ask the Dr. about from this website. There is still so much I don't know. I am dealing with a similar situation with my mom. The thing I would encourage is that if possible, do go with him to all appt's, if not you, then someone you trust. It is always important to have another set of "ears" to take it all in. Just when you are expecting to hear something, it comes out different and it takes more than (1) person to digest it all.

Patty, daughter. Mom has Stage 4a T4N1M0, tongue primary, Dx June 09, surgery removed 1/3 of tongue and N/D July 09. Anticipate starting rad in Sept/Oct.
