I completed my RAD and Chemo in Nov 2002 and I started to feel normal of my throat in late Jan 2003. However, since last week, I felt real bad sore throat when I swallow. It made the swallowing difficult, just like when I had cancer. I am very concerned now and my next follow-up is in April. I am wondering if any one here has similar experience - feel throat pain again after the radiation wound has been healed.

Also, I had chest skin flap transplanted into my mouth/neck during the surgery, I always felt the tightness and the "pulling" around it. It has been 6 months, the sensation is still very strong, never subside. About two weeks ago, this sensation of tightness/pulling changed into pain, it would take over my attention during day time and wake me up in the evening. I am not sure what happened, is this the symptom of recurrence or it is normal ?

I know a lot of us on this forum went through similar treatment process, did this ever happen to you too ?
