Has anyone ever had an allergic reaction to Ethyol? My husband has had 11 SQ injections. Yesterday after his injection, he became very red, with welts over his chest, back, arms, butt. Even the top of his head was very red. Very itchy, felt achy, headache and some difficulty with breathing. The Dr. said that it is very, very rare to have any reaction to Ethyol. Wayne tends to be one that gets the rare happenings. When he was diagnosed with Glaucoma and put on Travatan, he was one of the very few that got an infection from it.
They withheld the injection today because the next reaction would be very severe. They are going to research it some more. To say the least, he is very worried about having to take it again. And, he did not have anything other than his usual prior to the injection...the same as he has taken today (with no problems).
