He was out of the hospital in about 5 days, has continued to do well (pushing harder than he should & impatient to do even more) and his MDACC staff continue to refer to him as the wonder boy.
He's been offered the last spot in MDACC's RTOG 0234, "A PHASE II RANDOMIZED TRIAL OF SURGERY FOLLOWED BY CHEMORADIOTHERAPY PLUS C225 (CETUXIMAB)" for advanced Head & Neck SCC.
The study summary lists treatment agents: C255, Cisplatin, Docetaxel, Radiation and the research nurse told me 1st wk would include only 1 dose of chemo, wks 2-7 would be combo chemo & rad.
The research nurse helped me get some great info off the web but am wondering if anyone on the boards has been part of this study . . . or has any info they'd like to share about this type of treatment.
