Yesterday was one year that I thought I was going for French food at lunch after my dentist appt and instead ending up spending the afternoon having a biopsy on my tongue which turned out to be cancer. Wasn't one of my finer moments. However, I made it to the year mark without chemo or radiation being deemed necessary. I am very grateful that it worked out this well for me and wish it could be so for everyone.
I do still go for monthly check ups at the cancer center. Today, I have a bit of a sore throat from allergies and post nasal drip I believe, but nonetheless have been looking down my throat with a big flashlight thinking I "might" see something suspicious. I guess that will never go away. I have had a good year overall and am hoping for many more. I have always been a bit paranoid, but I guess the worry is really nothing new for me! Hope everyone has a nice holiday tomorrow if you celebrate Easter.
