First week post treatment. Never had to use the PEG. Sore throat almost gone. "Sunburn" on my neck and shoulders completely manageable. Still using the Aguaphor but it isn't bad at all. Dry mouth is still a factor but since I usually have a cup of coffee nearby anyway it isn't a big problem. Still using chapstick to combat chapped lips. I haven't experienced any problem eating soft or minced foods (no teeth) but my diet still consists mostly of "Boost" mixed with chocolate "Mootopia". No taste capability yet to mention. I have a feeling I am regaining a hint of taste but not enough to enjoy food yet.

I have an appointment with my surgeon on the 20th. I'm going to ask him if we can get rid of my plastic umbilical cord.
