Daniel, congrats on starting to eat. In my case the tongue cancer had been causing so much problems pre-surgery that after the surgery had healed I was pigging out, all the foods I couldn't eat before the surgery tasted great, no pain, etc.

The 6 weeks before starting radiation would be about right, considering the surgery you had. I think it was 4 to 5 weeks from surgery to start of radiation the first time around for me also.
