Last week there was a health fair in my area which did oral cancer screenings. I had met one of the organizers at one of my anti-smoking functions where I was speaking. Thru networking I have met several other important members of a large local hospital.

When the event organizer mentioned the free screenings to me, I immediately told her to put it on the OCF Events pages. I also advised her that I would attend to help support their event. She was thrilled that a representative from OCF came to help out. Anyone can do this! If you hear of an event in your area, seek out the host and speak with them. Offer your support. By attending an event,, you can ensure the screenings are done the right way and if any patients have something questionable pop up you can steer them to the forum. Working together helps everyone in the community to learn about oral cancer.
