Try to think positive - is the necrosis of the tongue? That would definitely cause pain as the tissue dies but so far out why is it happening now? And necrosis is different from atrophy atrophy is stiffness from lack of use (causing poor blood flow stiffening of muscles etc) - necrosis is a lack of circulation all together - dead tissue should definitely be removed. With regards to the rib... It would be an unusual spread - though we know it could spread anywhere - I'm still hoping its nothing but a bruise. Hugs again!!! And sending prayers your way!
