I asked my HBO tech. He has been doing HBO for 30 years, so he knows his stuff! He said it would not be a big deal to have a couple extra days lapse. Of course it should be done as close together as possible but it is alright for a few more days. He had one case where the person did HBO in April, got the teeth extracted and came back in Sept. to finish the last 10. My HBO tech said it sounds like it must be the facilities protocol.
