The path from idea to petri dish, to small animal models, to MAYBE a human clinical trial if someone is interested in putting up the millions of dollars to actually do it, and then the unknown end result of several expensive years of that trial, followed by the too often thumbs down from the FDA, make this idea something way into the future if ever a real viable patient option. So given all that, remember this has only been done in a preliminary mouse model to date.
